ChileOpen 2026: An Elite Tournament with Own Names and the Chilean Heart Present

Berrettini and Cerúndolo head a luxury line-up in Santiago, where the local navy seeks to shine

The clay court of Santiago is preparing to vibrate with the 2026 edition of the ChileOpen, an ATP 250 tournament that promises strong emotions and a very high level of competition. The organizers have confirmed the presence of internationally renowned figures, led by the Italian Matteo Berrettini and the Argentine Francisco Cerúndolo, who will lead a poster that will also have the solid representation of the Chilean Davis Cup team: Alejandro Tabilo, Nicolás Jarry and Cristian Garín.

This contest, which will take place from February 21 to March 1, is emerging as one of the most outstanding sporting events of the year in the region. The inclusion of players of the caliber of Berrettini, former world number 6 and Wimbledon finalist in 2021, significantly raises the category of the tournament. Despite having faced a series of injuries in recent years that has affected his ranking, the 29-year-old Italian arrives with the firm intention of recovering his best level and leaving his mark in Chile.

The list of stars is completed with the Argentine Francisco Cerúndolo, current number 21 in the ATP ranking, and the promising Luciano Darderi, an Italian-Argentine who has just reached the round of 16 at the Australian Open. Darderi, ranked 25th in the world, showed his potential in Melbourne, falling to the Italian Jannik Sinner in a tough battle.

The Argentine force will be felt with a large delegation. Along with Francisco Cerúndolo, there will be his brother Juan Manuel Cerúndolo (87th), Sebastián Báez (36th), Tomás Etcheverry (62nd), Francisco Comesaña (68th) and Mariano Navone (74th), who promise to offer a high-voltage show.
